Massage Therapy

Concentrated Hands-On Treatment for a Specific Concern

The treatment places particular emphasis on myofascial release and deep tissue techniques to address muscle tightness, fascial restriction, stiffness, and limited movement. Additional manual therapy, joint mobilization, and stretching may be included based on the patient’s needs.

RMT: Area-Focused Treatment

How Area-Focused Treatment Works

RMT Area-Focused Treatment is designed for patients who want most of their appointment dedicated to one selected area or physical concern.

Instead of dividing treatment time across several unrelated areas, the therapist provides concentrated hands-on treatment based on your main symptoms and goals.

Treatment may include deep tissue massage, targeted manual therapy, joint mobilization, stretching, and other techniques based on your needs and comfort.

This service is provided by a Registered Massage Therapist and is billed under Registered Massage Therapy.

What Makes This Treatment Different

Unlike a general RMT appointment that may address several areas, Area-Focused Treatment dedicates most of the session to one primary concern.

The treatment places greater emphasis on targeted myofascial release and deep tissue techniques to work with muscle tension, fascial restriction, stiffness, and limited mobility. Deep tissue does not mean using the strongest pressure possible—the therapist uses slow, controlled techniques and adjusts the pressure based on your comfort, tissue response, and treatment needs.

This focused structure allows more time for detailed hands-on work within the selected area while still adapting the treatment to your individual condition and goals.

What to Expect

Your therapist will begin by reviewing your main concern, symptoms, and treatment goals. The session will then focus primarily on hands-on treatment of the selected area using techniques such as myofascial release, deep tissue massage, joint mobilization, and stretching when appropriate.

Pressure will be adjusted throughout the treatment based on your comfort and how your body responds. Most of the appointment is dedicated to focused manual therapy rather than treating multiple unrelated areas.
